Block Paving Driveways in Hatfield

A lot of the work we do here is not a full replacement but an extension. Because block paving is built up from small units, a new section can be tied into what is already there, or the whole thing widened by a metre or two, without any of the joins and colour differences you get when patching a poured surface.

Blocks are made in everything from soft buffs and warm reds through to charcoal and silver grey, in sizes ranging from small traditional setts up to long linear blocks. Once it is down there is very little to think about. A wash with soapy water when it starts to look dull, a jet wash once or twice a year, and a top up of jointing sand every few years is the whole job. No sealing, no raking, no filling cracks each spring.

  We are really pleased with our new resin and porcelain patio in our garden.  It was finished to a really high standard.  The team, who were very punctual and professional, worked hard and cleaned up really well after themselves when the work was done.  The whole operation was very smooth from Paul initially coming round to discuss the options and provide a quote, to Martin managing the team over the five days that they were there building our new patio.   We approached Amwell to do a design and deliver landscape project for our house.  The work involved stripping the existing area of overgrown trees, lawns and block paving drive from the front and back of our house.  These were replaced with a resin-bound drive , new patio, lawns and beds ready for planting. The design work was carried out by Paul Williams from Amwell.  He is a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional who was able to offer us advice and insights to achieve a better result and avoid costly mistakes.  He was not at all pushy and there was no hard sell.  Perfect. The work was done in less than 2 weeks and to a very high standard.
